“Our experience with Southernwind Pools, and especially Clay Wager, has been nothing short of exceptional.
We recently completed a major backyard renovation in Dallas with a large pool, outdoor living area, and outdoor kitchen. Southernwind managed the project with the expertise you’d expect from a large, experienced company, but with the relationships you’d expect from a small, family-owned business.
Our project designer, Clay Wager, did much more than design our project. He worked with us to create what we wanted and needed as a family. As first-time pool owners, he both listened and provided expert advice. Additionally, he was present for us throughout the entire project.
When we noticed a chip in a tile, he was the one we called and quickly had it fixed under the outstanding warranty Southernwind provides. Any large construction project is going to have its glitches along the way, but I’m glad we had Clay to move the process along.
Perhaps most importantly, we believe the project is now perfect. After using it for a summer, it was exactly what we wanted, and all our guests have been highly impressed with it.
The project took a while to complete, but Southernwind completed our backyard within budget and with minimal inconvenience to our family.
I would highly recommend Southernwind Pools to anyone looking to renovate their backyard.”

“We had a very challenging pool remodel but Joseph Sampsel went out of his way to find the perfect coping for our pool when other companies didn’t even want to attempt to remodel it correctly. He definitely went above and beyond and had a very positive attitude throughout. He was able to find the perfect stone for coping with the depth that we needed, which we originally thought we might not ever be able to find since the depth they were going to have to work with was less than what most stone is. He also found the most beautiful tiles for the spa and inside of the pool as well.
Our remodel turned out better than we could have ever expected thanks to him and Southernwind Pools. I highly recommend him for any project you might have.“

Every part of this experience has been great! Mayra in the front office was always on top of communication and easy to reach. The design process was smooth, they gave honest opinions based on their experience when choosing tile/covers/concrete colors, and construction started as soon as we got HOA clearance.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Bluewater Pools and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. They were the only company that answered the phone and actually showed up, which already set them apart from the rest.

Southernwind designed and started the installation of our new pool in the summer of 2022. The project was extensive since we had a new build with water features and a covered patio. Our designer, Rane presented us with a beautiful design which we made only minimal changes to. He is a great designer and very easy to work with. Rane is personable and was attentive to our needs. When he presented our new design, we could not believe it was our backyard! The end result came out exactly as presented and we are very happy with the creativity he brought throughout the design process!
The foreman for our project was JT. We can’t say enough great things about this young man! He is an absolute joy to work with. JT was on top of everything and we were very happy with how he handled all the issues and steps that needed to be done. We did have a few issues with the subcontractors but overall had a good experience with everyone at Southernwind Pools. It did seem like a longer project but as long as you set your mind on a longer completion timeframe, you won’t be as anxious to get it completed. There were some issues that arose throughout the duration but was expected, with a project of this size.
We highly recommend Southernwind Pools! No, the process won’t be perfect but they are a company that delivers, with integrity and honest practices and at the end of the day, that’s what really matters.
We absolutely love our new outdoor living space!

The project started on a Tuesday morning, and they were done filling the pool by Friday. The crew were hard workers and very nice.

Super impressed with Southernwind Pools! Rane designed an amazing pool for our yard. Angela, our Construction Coordinator, kept us informed/educated us on each phase of the process. And, I really have to brag on Esteban, the Project Manager. He has been right on top of everything…checking in on the contractors and crews each time they were here.
I was told by friends that have had pools built, “get ready to hurry up and wait.” But, that’s not been the case for us! They broke ground Feb 25th and we’re on track to swim in May! Today, is March 31 and they are pouring the decking as I write this review. They will clean up and spray the pebble tech (plaster) soon. The only hiccup is the water feature… it’s on back order (which isn’t their fault).
We are very happy with the design by Rane and the execution by Esteban building it out. I highly recommend Southernwind Pools.

We shopped around for the best pool contractors in the DFW area. We don’t have the biggest backyard, so it’s probably a relatively small job—and some contractors treated us that way, never even calling back after inspecting our backyard space. Southernwind was on it though!
Fast forward to the present and our pool is done, beautiful and a joy to experience. Moses did amazing custom design and the team of Charlie and Esteban handled the day-to-day work and overseeing subcontractors. Both are a joy to work with. We’re very happy with the results!
